Hi Ali

I totally hear what your saying about the underwear. However i am a big girl and I don't think anyone can really buy me underwear... totally really picky about that. I made it known that I didn't want a shower and so far I am getting outta Dodge in six days and no shower.

I am super excited and kinda giddy.. I had a bit of rough day Monday and Tuesday I was working on getting a house ready for sale and it was a marriage breakdown situation. It put a little bit of a black cloud over my parade. Tuesday the husband showed up while the wife was there with her new boyfriend. It turned into a shouting match, I just left got in my car and called the real estate agent. It didn't last long, the husband left after about ten minutes. I am sure the cops have been called there before, I go back in only to listen to the wife go on about how abusive he is. I just didn't want to hear her story, I could feel the bad energy enough to know they had a bad marriage. It really put me in a funk....

It is Thursday girlies... this week is flying by.... I have the final list of the " to do's" We have to listen to the Ipod on the weekend to check out the sound and flow of the music and print programs. I have a friend coming to my house to do waxing manicure pedicure and she is cutting Mark's hair and highlighting it. Then we're off to Mexico.

Brooke- wow babe! that is some racey stuff. It was hard to look at here at work (lol)... the thumbnails are too small but when you click on it you get a life size image of you!! haha I see it's on your wedding website... I hope your guests don't have access to that? Justin's gonna love it!

 

Susie- dude do I know how you feel!! I seem to be surrounded by divorce, break ups and/or bitterness. There is this new lady at work... she has taken to having lunches with us, but I sooo try to avoid her now because all she talks about is her divorce. Sorry but I am getting married in four weeks, I don't need to sit and listen to that. A bunch of girls from work went out for drinks last Friday after work (I didn't go because I didn't want to miss the gym), anyway so I was asking my friend who is married who went how it was, and she responded with- what? you mean the lonely hearts club LOL We are not mean, but come on!! When you are happy and things are really good no one wants to be around all that negativity. I stear clear of these situations. I don't need any new friends, find another shoulder to go cry on.

 

Ali, I love the idea of a panty shower! That's too bad they feel too uncomfortable to go. Don't let it bother you though, go and enjoy. Respect their decision to not go, if it makes them uncomfortable there is not much you can do about it... peoples feelings are so personal. Find another way to bond with his sister and don't let this get in the way. Some people are just so conservative.

 

Today is four weeks until I say I DO!!!

Yesterday went well. I didn't think it would be so emotional, but it was. FI got all teary, which made me teary, then everyone was sniffling. We had a very nice evening. I'm thinking of it as practice for Mexico...

Ali- I love the idea of a panty shower as well! I know how you feel about the conservative thing, and yes, it definitely does hurt feelings, especially when they tell your FI the truth. Do they think that he won't tell you?! Sometimes people just don't think! Anyways, don't let it ruin your time. If they don't choose to come, it's their loss! You will have an awesome time and get some great panties! I always look at it as, if they don't want to come, I don't want them to be there, because they will just put a damper on my fun! Unfortunately, my FI's dad has chosen not to come to our wedding, because he doesn't like to leave home, and so my FI has said to me that he doesn't want his mom to force his dad to come, because then his dad will be grumpy and ruin the party. If he doesn't want to come, we wont force him, but at the same time, we are not going to let that stop us from enjoying our time!

 

That's not to say it's not hard to deal with, I know it is! Try to stay positive and enjoy as much as you can!

Guys, I am so excited my MOH (best friend) is going to sing at my wedding! It's such a nice last minute surprise... I think everyone will enjoy it. YAYAY

Hey, no, he's not too old. He just doesn't like flying and travelling. The worst part is he didn't say to my FI that is the reason he isn't coming, he just made up a bunch of excuses really, but we all know the real reason he's not coming. His mom said she was going to buy an extra ticket for him, hoping that he would change his mind later down the road, but my FI just said no, that if she does that, then dad will feel obligated to come, and he doesn't want his dad to come out of "obligation", and besides if he felt forced to come, he would be cranky and ruin the whole thing. FI pretends to be okay with it, but secretly I know it has affected their relationship, and the sad part is, I think his dad's relationship with our children may be affected by it too.... which is too bad, because they won't have a grandpa on my side either, as I don't have a father. I really hope FI can forgive him and try to repair the relationship, but I know that is hard for my FI to do...

Brooke- Gorgeous girl!! Those are quite the pictures and I'm sure Justin will LOVE them! I have mine on Sunday. I'm excited. Also, I ended up geting my sand ceremony vases at Michael's. They had a kit that I had previously seen online. It was a little pricey...$45, but I couldn't find anything else!

 

Ali- Too bad about the in-laws. I would not feel bad about the panty party at all. I think it's a great idea and if they're uncomfortable then oh well. You can bond with them another time. I personally don't see the problem and it wouldn't make me feel awkward to buy them for my future sister in law. It's just for fun!

kristab,i hope it sorts itself out but i couldnt agree more with your comment if they dont want to come i dont want them there.i think he will realise how silly he is being nearer the time surely he would,nt miss it if he could be there?

 

ali,you have your knicker party and enjoy.just dont mention it to them at all then they wont feel anymore awkward.

 

susie,me and fi was saying bout resting whilst away.we are both so busy at work and then at home we are gonna be knackered by time hol comes.hope you manage to get some sleep but the closer it gets i think it may get worse lol.

 

i collected my bd book today its great cant wait to give it him.one of my 2do,s for the weekend is get his presents wrapped.

 

friday again tomorrow i have to colour my hair i have really bad roots.i have made it wait.
