At the party last night I was touched that they celebrated our upcoming wedding with the staff xmas party... There was about 40 people there and 11 of the staff I helped them find that job and they have grown so much over the years. This one kid was such a shit and was on such a bad path about 9 years when we met and he was trying to find a job that would keep him out of jail... I remember his mom and dad asking me to help them because he had court in a few weeks and the judge told him the last court appearence if he didn't have a job the next time he came to court he was going to jail. rambling here lol..... This kid is married now with two little girls... It was a very emotional night for me... So yeah it was a great night

sounds like you had a blast.it is really thoughtful of them to give you a bit of a shower as well.sounds like a great job your fi does.

futuremsmoulton,the tupperware story is funny i just read to fi whilst watching tv and even he laughed.what did it smell of when you took the lid off?hope your cat is ok.im sure hes just a little shocked and cold.

 

well i have filled the forms in and sent everything back to wc today so wait and see.all these little things bringing it closer.

Brooke I hope kitty gets her voice back... I lost one of my dogs for a few hours.. my little boston and I was mental.... someone found her and put her in the back yard and sent their kids around to ask if any one lost her.... The kids had headed in the direction they seen the dog coming towards them.. By that time she had already turned around and was headed home.. Little bugger!!!

I did have a blast at the xmas/shower party.... It was really nice to see those guys and how much they have matured.. Ah some off them lol.... FI's company has a whole lot of credit to take for changing these kids... The owners have bailed some of them out of jail and had them living at their house for extended periods. Really awesome employers...

Are you ladies doing a planning thread to show the whole journey of the planning your wedding? I was thinking not to and now I saying maybe I should....

Susie that would have been a great line - who ate the sandwich! I can think quick on my feet most of the time, but good ones like that I usually think of after the fact.

So last night started my truck on fire! Usually I just plug the thing in as I head into the building, but last night it was so cold and I was bringing in a couple of arm fulls of things...so I plugged in and went back to the truck. I could smell this really strong melting plastic so I look around. Yep big cloud of smoke at the front of the truck. I run back and have this ball of flame where the cords all connect! Got the fire out and the truck seems no worse for wear, but it was a little adrenaline pumping....it is so cold that the frost built up on the plug and caused it to arc. Nice. It is tooo cold when we are second in the world the other night to someplace called Silveria! I want to move somewhere warm permanently! (Just without the snakes and weird bugs!)

Raykel- YIKES fire! I had a similar scare today....was helping my FI boost a car, chatting away and not paying attention to what I was doing.......accidentally touched the two cables that I was holding......Wholy $#@! sparks everywhere! Oops!

On another note- I am making a welcome brochure to include in my OOT bags. Is anyone doing this? If so, did you include a description of the resort?
