Wow, thanks everyone.

It's amazing how friendly and kind everyone is here. Too bad the real world isn't always the same, lol.

I'm going to be doing some extra research and I think I may start another thread where we can all put our heads together and come up with an extensive budget that everyone can refer to.

Look out for it and please add your 2 cents.

Thanks again and congrats to all of you as well.

I should also let you all know that from the research that I've been doing, I have found some of the following prices just with Travelocity.

(All prices are from Toronto, including taxes, and hotels are in Punta Cana)

Iberostar Bavaro (4.5*) $1504

Iberostar Dominica (4*) 1324

Grand Palladium Punta Cana (4*) 1334

Blau Natura Park (4*) 1518

Riu Naiboa (3*) 1518

Occidental Grand Punta Cana (4*) 1359 --- this is with Air Transat

If anyone has even better prices for a 4* or more in either Dominican or Cuba, please, please let me know.

Thank you so much

Congrats and welcome! I was also looking for something cheaper that wouldn't be too hard on guests. We are taking a cruise to the bahamas and getting married on the beach in Nassau. (Picked a shorter cruise so more people could afford the time and money to go). It will end up saving us a lot of money. I am sure there all kinds of other ideas you may find on here as cruises aren't for everyone. Good luck with all of your planning! I know in just general searches I have found a few threads about budgets, but I don't know where they are off the top of my head.

I'm going with the three-day cruise to Nassau also. It's a cheap vacation for our guests - less than $300 per person, and it creates a pretty cheap wedding for us too because all the food is provided. (this is also the case for all-inclusive resorts). Are you talking about wanting to keep the costs down for the wedding or for your guests?

Best of luck with planning. There is definitely TONS of information on this forum!
