Yes that is Georgina (Gina's) e-mail address and she is my wedding coordinator also. That stinks that you can't use the pooldeck--they should have had you down for that since you requested it last May! However, I have heard nice things about using the pool terrace for the reception. I think it is in between the pool area?

I can't believe they are doing this to people!! Do you think it was because your wedding coordinator changed? I'm hoping that since I've had Evangelina the whole time she's got it under control...

 

I've seen a lot of great pics of the pool terrace or even the El Patio restaurant if doing it inside is an option!

Has anyone been in contact with Anel lately?

I booked her for our wedding almost a year ago and now with my wedding quickly approaching I'm trying to get in touch with her to confirm our day. It's been a few days and I've heard nothing from her.... Anyone having the same issue?

I emailed back and forth with her a few weeks ago. The first email I sent it took her almost a week to respond to. The next few after that took her usually a day or 2.

I actually emailed Anel 2 weeks ago to specifically request her for our wedding in December, and she was extremely prompt - unlike the wedding planners at Dreams - emailing back. She may just be really busy this week.  Good luck, hope you hear from her soon!

Hi Everyone! I am not brand new to the blog- I started following it last year when I first confirmed my wedding date and nowt that I'm about 6 weeks out I feel like I have SO MUCH to do We are getting Married March 26th... 5PM on the beach, cocktail hour and reception on the beach.

LindseyM! Thanks for your reply...i suck at using these forums by the way, excuse me if im posting wrong.  anyway ill be there July 22... maybe we will get to say hi to each other.

 

I am not keen on their "approved vendors" adventure photos...and have my own photog...do any of you know indefinitely if this is allowed?  I would be surprised if it wasnt...i dont see how that affects them, plus they should have more choices then.

I am not very happy about the wedding coordinators being switched at all! I have sent atleast 5 emails with questions and I always say can you please confirm that I am on north beach for my wedding and the pool deck for my reception and they never respond to that question.  It is driving me crazy! I don't know what I will do if they change it on me.  Ana confirmed with me but I don't trust it until I get it confirmed with Yamina. Also, a while ago I sent a picture of the bouquet I want to Evangelina and she said it would be $165 extra.  Yamina just emailed me and told me it would be $400 extra.  Is anyone on here going to use real silk flowers? If so do they look real?

We wanted the pool deck too, but it was booked.  I was upset, but we decided on the pool terrace and it really looks beautiful.  The lights in the pools are on and it creates a really sexy look I think...There are pictures of it on this thread on page 52.  Good luck--it is so frustrating sometimes...but it will all work out and be amazing!

Im having silk flower bouquets for my bridesmaids...I think they look really good and they are alot cheaper. Hope that helps
