Hi,

if you are considering Seaside I would just do the pool deck which has a lot more room for the dance floor, buffet etc. we had a sound system, room to dance, buffet dinner (carribean buffet) and we brought a few decorations- table covers which made a huge difference. The only reason to rent a restaurant is if you want to have the wedding inside.

kad1010, oops, I see my original reply to you got posted twice... d'oh!  One of them was "pending" so I posted a second one... oh well, the joys of being a "Noob"... haha.  Here's the menu that Lizbeth provided us with when we did our site inspection... there are three options...

I was told that if you like something from "No 1" but you selected "No 3" (for example) you can make substitutions.

 

Ultimate Package Menu

 

No 1

Tropical Martini shrimp cocktail served with brunoise of Avocado

 

Puff pastry field with Salmon and wild mushroom served white wine sauce

 

Cream of mushroom with baby shrimp

 

Beef tenderloin filed with vegetable julienne served in red wine sauce

"OR"

Chicken breast filed with spinach and provolone cheese served with saffron sauce

 

Peach cheese cake served with strawberry Couli

 

No 2

feuillete of escargot served with doble cream bordelaise sauce

 

Spinach salad served with duck confie and balsam vinaigrette

 

Cream of broccoli with parmesan cheese

 

Chicken breast filed with spinach and provolone cheese served with saffron sauce

Penne with Provencal sauce serve with shrimp and grill scallop

 THanks for posting those videos on youtube. I too had my fiance watched it and it was definitly exciting and got to see a different view of the resort. That was very thoughtful of you.

I actually didn't even get a receipt back. Was told since the transaction had cleared my book, the date was confirmed. As long as that's all it takes to book it, ok. Thanks!

What measurements did you use for the table covers and where did you get them? I also saw you had decorations for the chairs - did you buy those as well or did they provide that for you? Thanks!

Has anyone started looking into rehearsal dinner or welcome dinner options for the restaurants? Any idea if they charge anything extra to book the entire place or if you can just walk in with your guests the evening of? Do all of them have the same guest capacity or some smaller/bigger than others? Trying to figure out the best and most budget friendly way to do this esp. considering this is an all inclusive resort and doesn't make sense to "pay" for food when the guests essentially are already paying for it. :-/ Thanks!

any past brides that did a rehearsal dinner at El Patio have any suggestions as to what to choose for the menu??  thanks, getting very excited.  it is almost july!!!
