just an opinion: i would def. do the 4 hr reception!! it's not like your guests have anywhere to go and if you are having a great time- which im sure u will.... you will be happy to have the extra hour since the night will probably fly by...

I can tell you this about the plunge pools love the way they look however there is zero privacy & they are not heated!  We did the jacuzzi in  room 2401 so there was a little privacy because we were in the middle.  But I will be honest a lot of the rooms do not have a lot of privacy.

Hi All, 

Those pictures of the deck got me really excited for our upcoming wedding at Dreams! 

We are about 2 months out and just got a final head count of 64 guests coming for a total of 66 of us at the resort the weekend of the wedding on May 14th, 2011! Ahh! 64 people was more than we ever thought would come but we are super stoked!

 

We are getting very timely responses from Veronica now via email. I feel much better about the choice to have our special day there. I can't wait till May! I will keep everyone posted on how communication goes along from here as well. So far so good though!

Hi, Im getting married may 22 2011 @ Dreams, Just a few things I wanted to touch on.. Is anyone just floored by the prices of flights right now?? I went on a site visit back in NOV and paid pretty much the same amount for the whole 4 day visit including the flight in comparison to my round trip airfare for the wedding - Not such a good idea to hold out I guess.

 

Second - Im having concerns about the SPA, I am picky about my hair and all and Im wearing it down and it needs to be amazing - did anyone bring someone onto the resort? I need to have amazing hair and makeup. Im at the point where I might just do my makeup myself but, I feel like I might need to have it done for the expirience that day. As far as my hair, Im going to have long extensions in my hair and want a beachy look and Im cringing to the thought of my hair looking like prom or communion hair..

We aren't really Ocean people - I like to look at it but our group will be very comfortable at the Pool Bar!!  I honestly try not to read those reviews..some people complain about EVERYTHING..when you are there with family, friends, and sunshine - I feel like it will be really hard to complain!! 

 

I'm pretty sure we are set for January 24th, 2012..I'm sure I'll send out a HUGE CELEBRATION post once it's a done deal!! 

 

Thank you SO much..I'm loving the BM dresses more and more..and I just LOVE the ring!!

TRUST ME - it's NEVER too early to be on this site.  It has been AMAZING to me and we have been inspired by SO many brides..my wedding will be just amazing thanks to all the brides on this site - and because I started early!! 

 

We originally were gonna send Save The Date's but decided it was a waste of money...to be totally honest people are gonna want to know how much - until you know that probably everybody will say "Yes" they are coming...it doesn't become real until they have a number.  I just don't think it's practical for people to tell you 100% without knowing anything..a lot can happen in a year.  We are just gonna get our invites out as soon as possible!!  Hopefully in the next month or two...

 

So..I don't think it's wrong to ask - I just don't think it's realistic at all.

Have you ever had your makeup done before?  I have a really hard time with somebody else doing it - the one thing you don't want is to not look like yourself.  One of the brides on this forum had a makeup lesson done with Bobby Brown & she practiced all the way leading up to her wedding - by the time her wedding day came she was a pro and it looked amazing!!  That is what I plan on doing..I need that lesson on how to do more for photos etc. but don't want to look like somebody else..ya know??

 

As far as your hair - I am a hairstylst myself..and I agree..it can be tricky.  I would suggest you do a trial with your stylist that you normally see and take LOTS of pictures.  I would also try (I know it's hard because it's important to you) to not worry too much about it.  If it is such a concern and so built up - you won't be happy with it.  One thing you might want to consider is it is VERY windy down there..a beachy look would have to be touched up - the wind is gonna pull that curl right out.  Just a thought.

very true! i am still going to send save the dates just so noone can complain that the didnt have enough notice.. but you are right about the responses.. i wont bother with that thanx
