Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

When I was there in May we shared a table with the mother of a groom - she said her son had gotten married earlier in the day and then everyone went back to their rooms, changed back into bathing suits and met up at the swim up bar...then did cocktail hour and dinner later in the evening...she said it was nice and relaxed...just a thought :)

Thanks, I like this idea!  Maybe we could let our guests know that we will be swimming and having cocktails at a particular location following the ceremony.  We could tell them that they are welcome to join us, but if they want to do other activities, they are free to do so.  Then we could let them know that we will be having a celebratory dinner later in the evening that we would definately like them to join us for.

I would highly suggest getting a travel agent to book your date, otherwise, your in for a wait...don't expect to hear anything for well over a month. I had that problem and as soon as I got a travel agent I had a response from the WC Ana within 5 minutes of my agent contacting the resort.

Absolutely! You could draft up a little timeline of the day and maybe put it on the back of the program!

I'm doing legal and Ana told me she couldn't send the script because it was a government document or something like that...but I read on the dreams tulum thread somewhere that one girl was able to switch out the reading that's included in the script with something else.

If you want bible verses read you absolutely can - but I'd suggest having a friend or family member do it...since the judge might give you push back on changing the script too much.

I'm going to email Yazmin and Gabriela about the script again and see if I can get it from either of them.  I'll post it if I get it.

Does anyone have either script from Ana that they could copy/paste on here?  I read somewhere that a legal ceremony has to be non-religious.  Are we able to read any bible verses?

Thanks!

For those of you trying to reach Ana, I found I was able to get a hold of her in the early afternoon. After being there, it appears she works every day except Sunday. She tends to arrive late morning and stay until around 7 or 8. Most weddings and activities are not during the heat of the day, 1-4ish, so this is a good time to call. I found I was able to reach her within a few tries when I called during those times.
