I actually have a destination wedding planner through my travel agent and they do all the contacting the resort on my behalf. Its been great because they seem to be able to get stuff pretty fast. But I am waiting on menus and that is the next big step. She is seeing if there is anything new/changed for 2014. Now its just all the little details that need to get done.

Do you have everything ready or are you down to the last minute crunch like we are doing? Where are you having your reception? Hope all is going well for you! It is getting super exciting!

So exciting! We fly down the 15th married on the north beach at 230 on the 18th! Cocktails on the jacuzzi terrace and then reception back on the beach. Little worried about wind during dinner. As far as planning I'm pretty much done just last minute details and menu stuff. Sounds like most of everything is done once you get there and things can be changed too. How is everything going for you??

Hello Dreams Riviera Cancun brides! Congrats on your upcoming weddings! :) This post is for any brides interested in affordable decor for your big day.

I'm a newlywed from Vancouver, Canada that lives down here in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. I have quite a few decor items leftover from our wedding in May, mostly in a rustic vintage style. I've decided to rent things out to brides that don't want to lug things like vases & mason jars down here to Mexico, and have priced things quite fairly compared to the resorts' prices.

I have a lots of different types of bottles, mason jars, vases and lanterns, as well as a variety of other items like wooden signs & frames, table runners, rustic birdcages, string lighting and even a portable sound system.

If you want a Style Me Pretty or Ruffled type of wedding in Mexico without a huge price tag, I'm your gal! So far no one has had to pay an outside vendor fee at all, as they tell their WC that they have brought the decor themselves. I'm also always interested in buying items that brides bring down and would like to sell after their weddings, please send me photos of anything you'd like to sell!

If you'd like to see some photos and a price list, please send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you all the info. Also if anyone has any questions about the area, ask away! I've lived in Playa Del Carmen for two years and know the whole coast quite well. Happy planning ladies!

Here's a couple of photos of some items we used in our wedding and that are for rent, but I have lots more:

Hi brides!!! I am new to the site and am so excited something like this even exists! So helpful! We are in the midst of booking November 21st,2014. As I see, many of you are anxious like me and waiting for a reply from the WC feels like forever! I had a few questions, so if anyone can help that'd be awesome. We want to get married at the gazebo and ditch the cocktail hour like I see many of you have. I am a little confused with the pool terrace and pool deck. Terrace and deck are two separate places right? Also if you have your reception on the pool deck, that is we're dinner will be served right? Or cow e pick a restaurant and deck? Many of you many think its a silly question but I am extremely new and just in the very beginning stages. I plan to put a deposit for the day, time and place we want everything and then take trip down to Mexico in April to get a better idea. Any tips are greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you all and reading everyone's posts. Thank you in advance! If anyone knows where I can look at more pictures then just what the WC sends please share :)

I've decided to book a vendor not through the resort. I will have to pay a vendor fee to bring him in but I would like to have someone who isn't responsible to the resort but only to me. Plus you get a lot more pictures this way. It does cost more than the resort though so it all depends on your budget.
