Has anyone chartered and Catamaran to take a large group? Or should we stick with the excursions offered at the resort? Or would a bus tour be better?
A friend and I stayed at the Holiday Sunspree in Montego Bay. We took a cab to Rick's Cafe. There was four of us. However, if there a alot of people going perhaps you want to stick with the resort tour.

Rick's Cafe is great! My FI and I went there when we were in Negril in November. Loved it. The cliff diving is awesome and the sunset was AMAZING!!! But the drinks are pretty expensive and the music is a little "club like" which is just a warning for you in case you are bringing people that arent much into the loud thumping rap. It was part of the program and didnt bother me, but I can see how some people might find it a little annoying.

All in all I think it is a great place to go.. but it was a 20 minute cab ride for us.. so that is a little different then taking 3 hours to get there.

I also spoke to my cousin about this recently because she stayed at ROR and went to ricks. She said they took a catamaran there and when they got close to the cliff at Ricks they went snorkeling and then let them off to eat and hang out there for a few hours. It was only about 30 bucks pp she said and it was a tour company that they found at one of the set ups at ROR.

Yea I know that's what I said too because even from Mo Bay to Negril I heard it was like 50.... she said she had more info about it and what tour company it was stashed away somewhere so she's gonna find it for me.

Also she said it didnt.... but I think when your Jamaican you get things cheaper because they know not to rip you off (i may be completely off by saying this) BUT when I went to Mo Bay with friends and cousins a few years ago and we took two cabs... they charged me and my friends more (no accent) than my cousins (accent).... coincidence??

I just did that trip in February and it took 2.5 hours. It really didn't feel that long and the sunset is definately worth it! We did this Negril Sunset tour through sunquest at the resort and it only cost us 50 bucks for the whole day ; left at 7:30am and returned at 9 pm. We got to spend the whole day on the beach and then go to Rick's
