CJ you look great!

Yeah I have been trying to eat or drink (low cal protein powder) more protein and I started to add some strength training. I don’t do nearly as much strength training as I need to so I need to step up on that.

RunningBride24 – any tips to not look bloated you want to share? I have my BD photos on 8/22 and I will just be coming off of TOM so I will be extremely bloated.

I have been busy with the music for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, the OOT bags, putting together the little DIY projects for the items in the bags, the welcome booklets I need to put together, the wedding favors, the 40 chair sashes I need to iron, trying to get my FI to go get his black suit before all the summer suits are gone, trying to lose weight so I can zipper my dress, still need to get clothes to wear on my honeymoon, need to discuss details for wedding day with WC and find out what I still need to do, and I have a list of things I haven’t even started like what I am going to do with my hair.

Knacarato – I WISH I need to gain weight. I really don’t know much about gaining weight healthy. Maybe if you start eating more fruit and veggies and other healthy food.

I can’t believe I will be married in 72 days 6 hours 43 minutes and 15 seconds! smile29.gif

CJ - you look gorgeous in your dress!  Great choice!!

Knacarato - I have 15 lbs that I will happily give you!  Free of charge, I'll even pay shipping, lol.  Man I wish it worked that way.  I have never in my life tried to gain weight but I do have one tip because my university roommate was super skinny and was always trying to gain weight -muscle weight, not fat obviously.  He would take these weight gainer shakes that you can get at any health store like GNC.  They are specifically designed to help people who want to gain weight in a healthy way.  Maybe you could check them out, maybe they would be an option for you.  I don't remember the name of it but a health store should know what you are talking about.  Also maybe try eating things like nuts, salmon, avacado and full fat yoghurt.  Things that are high calorie/high fat but good fats.

Cindy-

Thanks for the advice. I have never heard of that. Yea I'm definitely shocked as I've always tried to lose weight and couldn't. I'll have to pick up some of those shakes. But not too many! Don't want to grow out of my dress. :) I've got to try and reach that happy medium weight. Hopefully it'll work out.

I've been working on a playlist of Caribbean music for my Ipod. Thought it would be fun to listen to while tanning on the beach or to get myself excited on the flight there. Any one doing this too?

Thanks so much Wendy!! It is definitely a relief to be able to check that major item off my list. The consultant said it should be back by the 20th, no later than the 30th. So let's keep our fingers crossed for the 20th. We leave on the 6th! Wheww Whooo!

HI OCTOBER BRIDES!!! I have been living under a rock for a month. Trying to work my butt off so I can take some vacation time next weekend. BC here we come!

So I have been reading a few of your posts and everyone seems really overwhelmed with stuff to do..... I think I'm missing something LOL I haven't been going crazy at all and that's whats worrying me. I have an "it'll all work out" attitude which might actually get me into trouble come October. WHat's everyone been busy doing?

Thanks so much K! I appreciate the compliment!! I am in love with the dress so it's really nice to know that the perception outside my own bubble loves it like me! You gals are great! Thanks again!

Thanks Cindy!! It was a difficult choice at first but I indeed fell in love with the first dress and the others just couldn't compare.

ANd I'd like to add an extra 15 to you package to Knacarato. Been trying to get rid of these love handles for a while now, LOL. (Wish it was as easy as just shipping them away!)

Ms. Knacarato, I have heard of these shakes as well and heard really good things. I actually have been going to GNC to get smoothies that help me with fat burn. So they have a wide range of products that I hear are really good!

The Caribbean music is a great idea. Maybe I should try that out too!!

Hello Ladies!!

I am feeling extremely discombobulated and having a hard time organizing my mind.

So I am turning to the only place I ever find wedding day comfort, my fellow October Brides!!

Here are the things I have/or are done:

  1. Fiance'
  2. Resort Booked/Cake and Flower decided on
  3. Date/Officiant
  4. Passports ordered
  5. Dress/Shoes/Veil/Tiara
  6. Photographer scheduled and deposit made
  7. STD's
  8. Invitations
  9. Survival Kits {or hangover bags but dont tell my mom they are called that :-)}
  10. OOT bags
  11. Excusion ideas narrowed down
  12. Doing my own hair and make-up

Here are the things I don't have/or aren't done:

  1. FI's suit
  2. Packing list
  3. Finish Passport Welcome Books (need ideas for what to put on the pages b/c all the templates I found were for STD's or invites but no welcome books)
  4. Pre travel brochure
  5. Clothes and bathing suits for honeymoon
  6. Order gift for Mom/Dad/Groom
  7. Bourdoir Shoot { Unfortunately, after I come back :-( }

What am I forgetting? There has to be something I am totally forgetting.

I have my 2nd fitting on my real dress tomorrow. Next week I'm going home for a week (Huge YAY) to do invitations, get my TTD altered and have my shower/bach party. I think after that it will feel more real.

Wow, October is coming FAST FAST FAST!!!!!

You ladies who are stressing about your weight. Eat protein at EVERY meal/snack and try to cut the carbs at night. I'm not an advocate for low-carb but I'm speaking from experience. Spend some more time on the weights and you can cut down on cardio. I have all sorts of tips for the week leading up to the big day if any of you want any. A lot of it is cutting that last water weight and not looking bloated (I know this from figure/fitness competitions).

Ready or not it's coming soon! :)

I'd love some advice. I am getting married 10.10.10 so exactly 60 days from now. I've started P90x and I'm in second month, so far, I feel more fit but I really need to lose more weight. My problem area is my stomach. My bachelorette party is in Miami and it is starting Sept. 9 so I only have 1 month to get flatter abs. Please help!!!!! I'm trying to do 2-a-days....

I didn't even think to do this, but I love the idea! I would be very happy is you shared your playlist when you finish it. I am SO bad at making playlists!

LOL! I had to giggle when I saw that! It is so cute!

That is one thing I forgot about. My BD phtotos. I has been pushed off <img src=" title="4" width="1" />4 times already, but the latest date is 8/22. I will have to pick photos for my album. Oh and I forgot about the parents gift. I need to decide what I am doing with that.

Are you having a reception dinner or a cocktail hour after the ceremony?

I have an app on my cell phone that has a countdown to the wedding! It is more motivation to get in shape since I see it everytime I look at my phone.

My wedding is on 10.10.10 at 10:10 in the morning so I will only be having a mimosa hour after the ceremony (since people will have eaten breakfast and it won't quite be time for lunch and then that evening we will have a formal dinner (I'm not sure if I can call it a reception since there will only be 9 people including FI and I).

What's the app called? What kind of phone do you have? I could sure use that kind of motivation. I have a T-Mobile G1.

Oh, something else exciting happend to me today!!!! My invitations came in!!! YYIIPPEEEEE!!! I am going to spend the next 2 days running them through a printer in a fancy Calligraphy font (I wanted a hand calligrapher but I don't have the time or the money so oh well :-( .......maybe for my AHR) then they should be off by the weekend. Whewww, so I'll be in between the 6-8 weeks the experts suggest! Yeaaaa!

Now, I just have to figure out if I want to do the wax seal? I think it's really pretty but some people suggest only if you are hand delivering the invitations because the post office doesn't like to run them through the machine. But I was thinking of maybe putting them on the inner envelope. What do you ladies think? Has anyone done wax seals for mailing invitations?
