Location, location, location....

My name is Colleen. I am recently engaged with no set date yet. Trying to find the perfect location first! Looking for a venue with great character for 50 people. Perfect location would be on coast with ocean/boulders. Want it to be situated in a quaint town/ villiage. Ive looked at Alys Beach FL and Carmel CA, any experiences with these locales? Any other suggestions?

Congrats and welcome! I actually live about 2 miles from Carmel- it is absolutely beautiful, and I think a great place to have a DW! Of course, since I live so close, I see it often, so I will be going elsewhere. However, the scenery is wonderful, world class food everywhere... I always see weddings on the beaches!
