I like the idea of providing your photographer with some ideas, but at the same time, I feel like if I'm too controlling with the exact shots I'm looking for, it will take away from their creativity. I don't want the pictures to seem too posed or forced.

Any photographers out there that want to chime in on this? What's the best way to approach your photographer to make sure you get the shots you want, but not ruin the moments by forcing things that aren't happening naturally?

I think it's totally fine to suggest certain poses or maybe even a cool edit that you seen done in other photos. Now if you give them a list of like 50 shots you want, then yeah I can see that taking the creativity away from the photographer, but honestly I love it when brides/grooms gives me suggestions, it gives me a feel of their style and that way I can gear their photos in that direction.
