Wow, what a great forum! My name is Elizabeth and I am recently engaged. After starting to plan a big Washington DC wedding (where we are from) we have decided that we really didn't want a traditional weddin and instead thought we would really enjoy a wedding on the beach! We haven't set a date or a place yet, but we are thinking of early next summer (as I am a teacher and have difficulties taking time off during the year). We are also thinking about St. Lucia, BVI and Harbour Island as a destination. We would really like to have an intimate setting on a private beach and are interested in renting villas rather than staying at large resorts. That being said, we are open to all suggestions and look forward to hearing from you all!
