I was so happy this morning having a piece of toast with my breakfast and then some pineapple with my morning snack!

On the Low GI days you can use spaghetti squash instead of pasta - which is amazingly delicious. Have you tried it before?

And you can have cheese on the low carb and low GI days too!

I would start to write ideas down for meals on the different days and you'll be amazed at the combos you can do. Last night I made ideas for different restaurants (sushi, steakhouse, sub shop, etc) for the different days and its amazing how much you can alter your meals a little to fit the plan. I guess the only big thing is to only eat a small portion and save the rest for the snack or another meal.
Oh I havenâ€t thought of spaghetti squash! I had it once and it was pretty good. That would be a great substitute. Oh you are right; I can have cheese on any day. Oops. So to make sure I got this right, for the low carb days I really eat only one portion of protein and one portion of fat for each meal and snack? I think I will make up my meals this week. You are probably right, I am sure I will find foods to eat, but being a carb-oholic itâ€s kind of scary. I think if I pull it off I will have amazing results though.

Has anyone had tofu shirataki noodles? I here about them all the time on Hungry Girl, but my food stores donâ€t sell them and before I go online and buy them, it would be great to have some reviews.

Also, does anyone want to share their favorite meal/snack for the low carb days?

Thanks!

Hey Ladies!!!

So I've been following this diet since August and sorta slacked off but still managed to lose some weight. Anyway, I didn't really think that I had lost all that much, or that it made a difference in my clothes BUT yesterday, I went to buy new bras and they were 2 sizes smaller, WOO HOO!!! woot.gif Luckily, I have still kept the same cup size! lol I was so super excited when I got home, and frankly, I still am excited. So after the bra thing, I get home and try looking for this pair of pants and I find these jeans. I hadn't worn them in forever. So I decide to try them on too, and BOOM, they fit like a glove. YEAH again!! Needless to say, it was a happy night last night! lol

BTW, it's damned hard lately to follow this. There is food everywhere I go, especially at work *sigh*. I'm doing ok this week, but struggling really hard.

Lisa - wow congrats, that is awesome news!!! :) My favorite thing about losing weight is fitting in to clothes I haven't worn in ages, it feels soooo good hey?

To keep up with positive news, this is day 3 for me being back on track with the diet and I am happy to report that I'm down almost 3.5 lbs from my saturday weigh-in, woot!! woot2.gif It's hard with the cravings but that is keeping me totally motivated right now. cheesy.gif

oh and I have a new egg recipe for the a.m. that my PT recommended I try:

- 1 whole egg

- 1/2 cup of egg whites

- two slices of back bacon (I like to chop mine up in to small pieces)

- green pepper chopped

- 30g of low fat cheese

So it sounds like an omlette only I did it scrambled...it tasted amazing! First time I've enjoyed a non-cheat day breakfast in a loooong time! You sautee the bacon and the green pepper then throw in the egg/eggwhite/cheese mix and cook them like you would scrambled eggs. I topped it all off with a bit of salsa, it was amazing!!! I highly recommend this!

So Kathy you weigh yourself throughout the week instead of once a week? I am trying to break myself of the daily habit b/c if the scale goes down a lot I think I am a dieting genius and start slacking (haha) and if it goes up, then I get all down on myself.

I was at my future MIL's this weekend and I am sure her scale was wrong b/c it looked like I had lost 4 pounds my first week on the CYWT plan. Anyways, I am sure it is closer to 0 given my cheating little by little all week. Today is 2nd no Carb day though and I am doing very well. I love the changing up every 2 days. I think I get bored easily and this plan keeps me challenged! I am going to wait for the weigh in until Sat morning and see what has happned over the last 2 weeks.

Hope you all are getting back on the wagon after the long weekend :) (excpet I guess you already had your Thanksgiving last month Kathy!)

well, I'll weigh-in maybe once during the week (other than saturday that is)...I try not to do it daily either because it tends to fluctuate a lot. Your MIL's scale probably isn't wrong...I lost 5 lbs my first week of this diet! lol It's exciting hey?

And speaking of loss, I almost lost 4 lbs this week so I'm back to my pre-binge month of craziness weight haha, woot! woot2.gif

OK so I did have to cheat & weigh myself this am and for the 10 days on the diet so far - I am down 4.4 pounds! WOW I am a believer.

Thank you Lisa so much for sharing it!!! smile03.gif

I love the changing up every 2 days so I don't get bored too. Just need to stay on track the next 2 weeks of constant parties. I'll try to eat within the guidelines but still have a glass (or 3) of wine.

I sucked last week. PMS, eggnog and not really caring made me gain! It's no one's fault but my own. I'm trying again, all I can do is try right?!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much for losing another 20 lbs before the wedding! lol btw, I have 33 days before I leave, ACK!
