Paula Abdul off of Idol?

I just read on a gossip blog that Paula is not coming back to American Idol. Is anyone happy? Sad? Do you even care?

She does keep it entertaining because you never know what ridiculous thing will come out of her mouth. If she's as crazy as she is made out to be they are probably happy to be done with her.

I've been off the AI bandgwagon for a few years, but I heard this today as well. I think it sucks b/c the show has been on the air for so many years and they are a well-balanced trio. BUT I think this has been a long time coming. I mean, isn't there drama about her being fired/quitting like every year? Does anyone watch since the new girl Kara has been on? I wonder if she fits into Paula's spot the same way.

 

If I watch it again, I would miss the bickering between Paula and Simon though, I always thought that was funny.

I'm pretty sad about this! As much as she can be a little wacky.. it just seems like AI wouldnt be the same without her. Her dynamic with Simon will definitely not be replaced.

 

I liked Kara last season-- but she's soo different then Paula and compliments the group in a different way!

Well said, I agree with all of what you said Carly! I haven't watched AI in ages either but I used to love watching Paula and Simon duke it out

I hear she's very close to signing on as a judge for SYTYCD. I dunno, but I would love to see an Abdul/Mary Murphy cat fight! LOL. Actually, I think she might take MM's thunder and I would be sad about that cause I love MM!

I can't say I'm sad about it. The past few seasons she's left me rolling my eyes after almost every word that comes out of her mouth. Entertaining... well it was initially, but I find her whackiness too over the top for me now. As for her signing on to SYTYCDC..... OMG lol.
