Video Invitations?

Since FH and I met on youtube, I thought video invitations would be fun and also pay homage to how we got started.

 

I thought the cost might be too much, but when I add it all up...

 

DVD R- $.25

Paper Sleeve- $.07

Mailing Envelope- $.35

Inserts (reply card, directions, etc)-$.03

Total Cost: $.70/invitation

 

I could film, edit, and decorate the DVD itself and print out the inserts on cardstock. Does this seem too cheesy or anything? I am not having a formal wedding by any means. It'll be VERY laid back, full of surprises, and lots of fun.

 

 

If you know of any other brides who have done this, let me know. I couldn't find any threads relating to it- I'd love to see what others have done.

plus i think if your guests know you they will appreciate something not traditional and different....and of course they will remember it because it's unique!
