Hair flowers

Are you able to make changes to the Etsy flower instead of starting from scratch?

So, on to plan "B"...I'm going to head to Michaels tomorrow to see if they have something that can be fashioned into a hair flower...and next Monday I should have a whole bunch of chiffon fabric that they'll be cutting off my dress when hemming it...so I may try to make one myself.  Anyone tried a diy flower like this?

I don't know that it's worth it to try to add to it...I may salvage the alligator clip as it's a really good strong one.  It's way smaller than I wanted and the edges are singed...oh and it has a rhinestone center with a mix of clear stones and yellow-y stones.  Does that sound anything like the picture I posted?!?  I don't know what happened with this lady...communication/collaboration started off great, she said she'd have it to me a week and a half later.  WEEKS went by and I didn't hear anything.  When I sent her an e-mail to check in, I got a very curt response that she apologized for the delay and I would have it by the end of December.  I couldn't believe what she paid to ship this item to get it to me in two days from the US...so unnecessary.

Anyway, I have the chiffon scraps from my dress now, so I'll try a couple of things.  If all else fails, I will order some fresh orchids or some other blooms to pin in.

I had Red-i by Chelsea make hair accessories for my bridesmaids and they turned out exactly as I wanted.  She sent me pics as she worked on them to show me her progress and if she was going in the direction that I wanted.  I highly recommend her!

Thanks so much for your support, Brenners! I was just thinking about you and your bridesmaid's hair flowers on my recent trip to South Africa! We were walking down a street after we visited Table Mountain and this tree was in the yard of someone's private residence. I couldn't believe how much the flowers (although slightly a different color) reminded me of your hair flowers!

I'm really sorry that you had such a bad experience MJKH :( Have you contacted the seller to tell her you're unhappy with it?

Oh my gosh bondgirl0072010 they are so similar to the ones you made!  I am keeping them hidden from my bridesmaids until the wedding to give them as part of their gifts.  I am sure they will love them as much as I do!  One month to go!!!  I will post pics when I get back!  msnparty.gif

I did...I haven't heard anything back.  So, basically I'm giving her about a month...if I don't hear anything from her by the time we get back from our wedding, I'll have leave negative feedback on her etsy page.

Wishing the best of luck MJKH. I hate hearing stories like that but I'm sure it'll all work out. If you want any kind of suggestions on how to make changes to it, feel free to email me at [email protected]. I'm happy to give you any recommendations.
