Jamaica Brides: Father's Name on Birth Cert??

Hello fellow Jamaican brides! I need some clarification. On our Resorts Website (Breezes Grand Negril) it states that we will need to send in notarized copies of our birth certificates, which is no big deal. But it also says that the BC must have our father's names on it. Neither of us have our dads names on our original birth certificates. I've asked friends and family and some have their father's names and some don't.

 

So my question is do I need to go to Vital Statistics and try and get a birth certificate with my dad's name on it, or will the original one I have be fine?

I'm glad I am not the only one w/ this issue. I believe I have the long form version of my birth certificate and it does not have my dad listed. It would be rather difficult to have this changed, so I am just wondering why is it a must that the father's name be included. This really complicates things for me.

We only had to provide our regular BC's that dont our father's names on them. Our WC just emailed us a form to fill out and send back that asked what our father's names were, occupation and age...

I emailed my WC and she said not to worry about it!

I'll still double check with my WC, but I feel better now! I filled all that out on the form with father's name, age and occupation, so hopefully that's good enough!!!

This is a concern I have as well. My FI father's name is not on his BC. I guess I should follow up with my coordinator as well. Thanks for the heads up!
