Okay ladies, I have a dilemma. I fell in love with El Convento but since I'm a researcher at heart I called a few other places and requested proposals from them.

The prices at El Convento are reasonable, but the prices at Conrad San Juan Plaza Condado are even more reasonable and I prefer their food options.

So now I'm torn, I love the ambiance of El Convento the old world feel it has to it. But Conrad is more economical.

Which one should I choose?

If you can afford El Convento and it's in your budget, then I'd say do it because it seems to be the one you like most. Good luck!

I love El Convento too. This is your special day and it should be what you want. I say go for it if you can afford it.

El Convento is not only beautiful but the staff is quick and lovely. You also cannot beat the location for great pics...you are literally only steps aways from fantastic sites and the cobblestone streets. Spend the extra money, you'll be happy you did!

Thanks for all the advice ladies. I've found a place that IMO is more beautiful than El Convento.

We are now in the process of booking our venue.

Hands down if you can afford el Convento go for it. I dont know the price or if you've considered , Hotel La Concha (this is absolutely breath taking as well)el Conquistador, or the San Juan Intercontinental Hotel as well. The feel of el Convento is very different. It has a history so its part of what San Juan is all about plus its in front of the most gorgeous church you will ever go to in PR and the scenery for pictures is hands down amazing. The other hotels listed are more about the beach scene rather than historical value, although la Concha was just recently renovated into what it is now it has more of a modern feel than the renaissance feel it used to have and it was known for. Hth
