We always go to Maui and one other island each time we go. We stayed at the 4 Seasons 2 years ago and it was AMAZING!!! Talk about living the high life! I was working out in the gym with Arnold Shwartzenager yelling "10 more minutes, Maria." I have been to Oahu been not crazy about. I could totally email you the places that you need to go for dinner and ect in Maui. The only reason why I choose Mexico to get married was it is closer and cheaper but I am so looking forward to a trip to Hawaii next year.
I would LOVE to hear more about places you'd recomend in Hawaii! we had wanted to get married in Hawaii originally, but then opted for Mexico because it's closer, and then we could leave Mexico, and be alone on our honeymoon!
i will PM you my email address!

I've attached the wedding package information I received from the Four Seasons.

When I inquired about a very private ceremony for 2 without all the hoopla, this was the response I got...

Aloha,

Thank you for your email. In order to maintain our highest standards of quality and service, we do uphold the integrity of our wedding packages. With this in mind, we require the purchase of a wedding package in order to secure the exclusivity of being married here on property and utilizing our coordination services.

If you are interested in something more simple, we would be happy to recommend an outside wedding company who can assist you with an intimate wedding ceremony on the beach directly in front of Four Seasons (just not on property). Pacific Island Weddings can be reached at their toll-free number (88cool.gif 824-4134, and you may also visit their website at Maui weddings coordination and services. The owner's name is Ron Winckler; he himself officiates many weddings here with us. We are aware of his good services and are happy to recommend him.

I hope this information is helpful, and we look forward to welcoming you to our resort!

Hope this helps any future Maui Four Season brides. I'll be looking into other Maui options and will share my findings!

I'm thinking totally simple....quick ceremony on the beach...I don't even think we'll exchange rings, unless we have to. I'd like to save that for the Cabo wedding.

I don't even want flowers. I would like to have a photographer for an hour after the ceremony. I want to call it an "engagement session".... I really just want the pics for part of our Cabo wedding anyway. We never did an engagement session.

I think we will go for a nice dinner afterward. We'll have Tony's business partner (and best friend) with us too.....the trip to Maui is really for Tony's business, so the legal ceremony will be a little fun between the business.

What do you plan to do? Big elaborate thing or simple beach thing? ...I think you said simple beach thing before, right?

I think it's going to be really special to have the two of us for the legal part...kinda romantic if you ask me.

It sounds like you and I want the EXACT same thing, well, w/o the business partner! Actually, Paul and I do work together ... lol. Anyway, I just want it to be legal, and just the 2 of us - and I would love a photographer for like 30-60 minutes or something. Maybe I will have to ask Leigh or any of the photogs here if they know someone looking for a quick shoot while already in Hawaii. Though I imagine it's pretty easy to find a good photog. there.

I don't know how much Paul has planned, my guess is nothing yet! I don't think I will have flowers either - unless we grab something to put in my hair or something silly.

that would be awesome! I am not sure if we're marrying in Maui or Oahu - but I am pretty sure it will end up being Maui. We're staying in Oahu for 2 nights when we first get there, and I kind of wanted to do it right away - but we may wait for Maui.

  • 11 months later...

We stayed at the Four Seasons 9 days last year in May and we saw a wedding almost every day. Most weddings were fairly large IMO (100+) for destination weddings.

We did see a newlywed couple dining at Ferraros. It was just the 2 of them, they had gotten married somewhere else but had their dinner there.

The nice thing about Maui is everywhere you go, you see at least a bride on a daily basis. It is truly still the most romantic place to get married.

Originally, I wanted to get married in DR but realized, it might not be the best place for us at this time and since we love Maui so much we decided to get married at the Grand Wailea chapel instead, although, I am not found of the Grand Wailea hotel but we will only stay there only a couple days then go to to Kaanapali.
