How much do you tip your non-wedding hair stylist?

Okay wow, totally embarassing but I had no idea you were supposed to tip the shampoo guy! lol I usually spend about $180 getting my hair done, and tip about $35 to $40. Now it will be more with the shampoo guy! lol

I'm actually a hairstylist myself, and I do get paid a base salary. Every salon is different, with different rules and pay. The norm is 20% of the service.
