If you bought your dress online

Recommended Posts

Well, I didn't purchase my wedding dress on line. But I purchased my MOH dress for Monica's wedding from House of Brides - in fact I just posted a thread w/ some discount codes for them.

Anyway, the dress is a WToo dress (by Watters) and it arrived on time ( a little earlier than I expected actually) and in perfect condition. I'd totally order from them again. In fact if I'm ever in any more weddings that's the first place I'll check to see if they have the dress I need. I saved about $80 ordering through them instead of the store here in Dallas.

yeah, It takes a little longer than ordering through a bridal store (mine took just a smidge over 2 months). . .but if you're not in a rush I'd say it's worth checking out. Although they do have rush service too if you need it.

Good luck!!! :-)

The wedding is at Dreams PV on Sept 22nd. Yeah, I'm pretty sure she'll let me post pics. I know I posted her wedding dress on here a while back . ..she's really cool about all that. And believe it or not, she thinks the forum is awesome but just can't seem to find time to log on and check it out. (I spend a lot of work time on here...and she really can't get away w/ that.)

So yeah, she's prepared to let me do a reveiw and all that good stuff. :-)

Woot, what an awesome day for a wedding, I can't think of a better date! (Sept 22 is my birthday lol blush2.gif) Is Monica a member of the forum at all? I hear ya, the majority of my posts are during business hours too, lol - its a wonder I get anything done around here... and yet, somehow I do!

Perfect! That IS a great wedding date then! I'm glad they chose the right one! lol! Actually, David and I like it too 'cause the 23rd is our "engagement anniversary". . .so it's just a couple of fun, romantic days in a row!

I believe Monica actually signed up on the forum...but I don't remember her ever posting a newbie post or anything...she's just WAY too distracted. And of course I've made a lazy bride out of her by just feeding her info that I find! haha! She, of course, thinks it's great. Her FI totally laughs at me about it. I'll say something and he's like, "let me guess...you found this on the forum?!" It's pretty funny. :-)

lol, well let him make fun of you! You're like the best MOH ever... how many brides can say that their MOH's work day in and day out on a forum researching endlessly to make their weddings better?! lol I know it's hard work... you're a good MOH! wink.gif haha

It must be something about that time of the year or something. The 22nd is my birthday, the 24th is Aaron's and our dating anniversary is the 25th!! You just can't go wrong with the end of September!! lol

Hi There...Just wanted to let you know, I am a 3 dress bride..YUP, way too many decisions and kept changing my mind...LOL..

The second dress was ordered from House of Brides and unfortunately although it took 4 months to arrive, I did not like it as much after I tried it on, (still have to sell it) I did find a dress I originally wanted that was discontinued and the designer actually re-made it for me and it was done "online" and took 3 months..

So your probably looking at between 2-4 months, although we are hitting busy season for most wedding stores...

Good Luck...

Hi Jilly,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I'm very good at posting something and then losing it again! Anyway, she technically is not an authorized dealer. She buys in bulk from stores that are. You do, however, get an authentic dress with a Maggie Sottero certificate as proof. I will let you know as soon as I get my dress (I can't wait!!). It is set for arrival anytime between now and the first week in September.

Hope this helps!!
