If you bought your dress online

could you tell me what site, how long the turn around time was, and if the dress was of the quality you were expecting?

 

I don't know which sites are reputable and I don't want to shell out money for a dress that may never come!

 

Any ideas? I know a few of you have done this and received your dress already, so I'd love to hear about your experience.

 

I know we had some other threads on this topic, but I couldn't really find as much information as I wanted, so I thought I'd re-post.

Well, you know I got mine online. I wouldn't really recommend getting one from like China that's made there or anything.

 

But I did seriously consider buying one of those Pronovias (the 2005s) that they sell for on the cheap that have never been worn. I'll look up the store for you.

I ordered two dressed from ebay, one was $40 and the other was $100. I just wanted to see what they looked like. I got one today that I bought on the 24th of May. It is a great dress. Seriously, I was amazed at the quality. I don't even need to have any alterations done which is a bonus. If you are looking for a destination dress as I was I would highly recommend the seller.

I am thrilled with the purchase and believe me I am not cheap by nature, but just couldn't see putting out hundreds of dollars for a beach wedding dress.

I bought my Maggie Sottero at VAL Collections - Wedding Dress, Bridal Gown. I saved between $300 and $400. I have not received it yet (I only ordered it a few weeks ago) but Val has been very quick to return all of my emails and answer all of my questions. She also has a store on Ebay.

Hi Amber, I remember you mentioned vals to me before and I did see the certificate on ebay as well. I wish there was someone that had received their dress from her, just for peace of mind!!! I'm so scared to not get it or something! Do you know if she is considered and authorized maggie dealer?

Hey Jill, I bought mine online from RK Bridal find a lower price and we will beat it by 5% The dress came in about 2.5 months and was an authentic Casablanca gown. They are a large, reputable bridal store in New York and will match/beat by 5% the lowest online quote you can find.

Thanks Jess! I called RK today, I remembered you got your dress there and were happy with them. Its hard to find online places that sell maggie sotteros because they're very strict. I talked to RK and my dress is 699 and at the salon in town its 690 or 630 depending on the material I choose. But since they're not online I won't be able to use them to get the 5% off. But I did contact a couple of other places and am waiting to hear back if they can get me a quote.

 

If anyone used any other sites I'd love to hear about your experience!
