What's the difficulty level?

I was just wondering what the difficulty level was when making your own satin chair sashes? The resort doesn't have any in my colors and I thought I might try to make my own. If I was using organza then I know I could do it but with satin I'm a bit nervous. I'm a bit of a DIY idiot. I'm the guy in the polysporin commercial. Any tips for me?

My sewing skills are at a 5 year old level! I can sew a straight line but I need someone to thread the machine. I'm such a dunce.

I just found this website. It might be eaier and cheaper to buy them. This place has them for 0.99 cents each!!

Actually, should I got satin or should I go organza??

Depends...do you want a solid color or just a shimmer. I find that organza is quite airy and is a very good fabric if you're going for that feeling. It also shows up better of you have white chair covers. I'm going with black chair covers and fuschia and Lime satin sashes. Organza wouldn't do too well on black.
