Keeping ring and bands aligned: welding or clips??

Recommended Posts

I did a search for this so I hope I'm not duplicating a thread. blush2.gif

I have my e-ring and two bands for each side. They sit in the grooves of my e-ring, but they always spin and it annoying. I want them to stay in place.

Has anyone ever had their rings welded together, if so what's the like, does it look okay? Should I do this?

Or are their clips of some kind I can put on my rings to keep them all locked together?

When they get welded together, they basically make a small dot on the bottom and that holds them in place, no one can tell they're stuck together.

Be aware though that they're almost impossible to separate and it makes it harder for the jewelers to work on if it needs it

Jacqueline - I had my e-ring and wedding band soldered together after the wedding because they would slide around all the time and it was totally annoying. Like Crystal said, they're basically welded together at the bottom and that's the only way you can really tell. I think it looks really good because they now look like they fit together perfectly. :)

A girlfriend of mine got hers soldered with the dots and you ca't tell at all. She said the jeweller told her the dots would be easy to remove should she ever want to seperate them but like Crystal said hard if just work needed done or something needed to be fixed.

I'm interested to see what people say...I'm having the same problem. My bands were custom made to fit the ring and looks awesome when they are in place...but they hardly ever are. My e-ring is Tiffany&Co so I don't really want to do anything even semi pernament to it so I've already ruled out soldering but am interested if anyone has used a clip of holder of some sorthuh.gif

I couldn't wait to get mine sodered together. Mine is similar to Kathy's and no one can tell. I like my rings so much better now because I don't have to keep messing with them. It is harder to get them off your finger since you're pulling two rings off at the same time, but no big deal.

My mom had hers sodered together after she got married in 1971. Never had a problem!
