ether sand ceremony frame - how much sand

OK....so I have my ethere sand ceremony frame, I have put in the pictures and I am getting ready to glue the glass in. I am planning on leaving in the front piece, the pics are attached to the second piece, should I leave in the third piece or take it out? I will have in the fourth (back) piece as well. I have 3 lbs of sand.

I feel like I will have A LOT left over if I leave in the 3rd sheet of glass, but definitely not enough if I take it out - past brides who have used this frame help me out, I think you might be the only ones who will understand....how much sand did you use and did you leave the 3rd sheet of glass in or take it out?

You are probably gone...but I left all the panes in. I had some sand left over, but I don't think that I bought nearly as much. Sand shouldn't be too expensive. Plus, you might need to dump the sand from the frame when you get home and re-do it (we had to). So the extra sandw ill come in handy.
