Congrats and welcome! Just realize that you have a lot of time so you can relax a little bit

 

First thing to do is get a travel agent, then get their hotel recommendations and make sure they've been to the location as well. I chose my travel agent because he had visited the location and seen many weddings there and personally vacations there.

 

That is your link into coordinating with the hotel.

It sounds like you have the location down, which is one of the harder decisions. I like looking on TripAdvisor for their suggestions. You can also do a search on reviews in Punta Cana. Decide whether you want all inclusive and what your priorities are and start digging away.
