Hi everyone!

We just booked our wedding for May 1, 2010 at Villa Renaissance. We are planning on visiting the island at the end of August to finalize all of our selections for reception location, guests hotel, etc. We are working with Diane from Island Harmony (who has been great so far). Does anyone have advice on reception locations? Also, does anyone have tips on finding cheaper airfares/deals? I was also wondering if anyone had a welcome beach BBQ and, if so, how you felt about the experience? Any and all input is very welcome!! We are very excited, but are still learning the "ropes".

We are using Diane & we are staying at the villa renaissance. We are having our welcome beach bbq on the beach in front of villa renaissance. We are having our 2 hour cocktail reception poolside after our ceremony. Any questions please feel free to ask.

Stacey,

What are you looking for in a resort in the T&C? We have lots to offer, small and quaint, large and luxurious (also small and luxurious) and lots in between. If you want some photos of locations, check our blog out, we shoot at all of the resorts and villas on island, so you can see variety and we have links to the resorts if you want more details.

To help with your decision making, It helps if you can be more specific about what you want your DW to be in your mind...then you can eliminate resorts and focus on the ones that are right for you. Do you want to get married on a beach, on a deserted island, on a boat, in a garden next to the beach (some brides don't want to be in the sand) or even in a church? How do you see your reception? Is it just you and your FI or do you have 20-30-100 people coming along? Do you have lots of kids coming or is it just grown ups? Are you looking to have lots of things planned for everyone to do together or do you prefer to have people know the options and go do their own thing? Think about your perfect day and then let the brides here know or a wedding planner on island....Everyone is different and there are lots of different ways to get married on island.

Hope that helps to start your journey!

Good Luck and let us know if we can help with details!

Krys
