Hey all! Just wanted to let you all know I have posted photos from TTD and the wedding day (link under siggy) My photog was actually from the resort -- as many of you probably know there aren't any available for private hire in the region. His name was Alfredo, and he was AWESOME!

I am back, and married!

We have finalized our date (September 29) , our guests have booked (40) , and the t-shirts are being printed!!

 

Can anyone tell me what is included with the free wedding once we're down there? And what extra's or upgrades they did or reccomend.

 

We are flying Air Canada....anyone have issues with bringing the wedding dress/ tux's as carry ons?

We are trying to plan a wedding for this resort in Spring 2010. We are between two dates at this time... April 18th and May 9th. I have been to the DR in may and it was very rainy,... anyone been to Cuba that late in May? We are taking a photography with us as I have heard so so reviews using resort photgrapher. What are the additional costs to the free wedding or things people should upgrade on? Thanks for your help. We are very excited and are looking forward to Spring

MLD Wedding package info-- Wedding package - Wedding and Honeymoon programs in Sol Melia Cuba hotels & resorts

I recommend upgrading to the Cuban Trio for some portion of the ceremony. They were AMAZING! Also, the private reception was wonderful!

Agreed! The Cuban trio was amazing! Our guests loved them. They are supposed to stay for one hour, but with the tips we gave, they stayed for the whole reception. I asked them to play songs I love and they did. They also dedicated a song for DH's parents, who celebrated their wedding anniversary two days before.

And yes, indeed, the private reception (in the snack bar near the pool) is wonderful!
