Thanks Ash!

I'm lucky, one of my BM his my regular hairdresser - so one less thing to worry about!

You are not the first one suggesting the Romantico restaurant instead of the Italian. We are a group of 15, so we will probably fit. I will see when I'll get there!

Is Maria Elena a new wedding coordinator?

Hey Mary-- Maria Elena used to be the wedding assistane and Lian was the primary WC. However, Maria Elena is now in charge of the weddings as Lian is the new Assistant Manager. We did, though, see Lian doing two wedding consultations during our first week-- so it is possible that she still does a few.

Maria Elena is eager to please, and seems very passionate about putting together a beautiful and personalized ceremony. The day wouldn't have been the same without her. :)

As for El Romantico vs the Italian-- both offer a beautiful atmosphere and great entertainment. But El Romantico has those separate areas, making it more appropriate. Our first reso there (we ate there three times in two week-- yum!) we actually sat near the left wing where there was a wedding dinner occuring. It was beautiful and very private-- they even carted the wedding cake straight from the kitchen up to the reception area. It seemed really nice.

Her French is better than her English. lol You'll actually find that most people in Cuba speak more proficient French than English as the majority of their tourists are from Quebec and Ontario. For the most part, ppl will assume you speak French and then change to English / Spanish if necessary. :)

I'm positive she will be more than capable of accomodating you.

Hey Misty-- the catamaran was $85cuc / person, and if you book 20 ppl the wedding couple gets to go for Free!

It really is worth the money-- and I actually read on FB that one of the girls was able to get a 20% discount when she booked 30 ppl. So keep that in mind too. The excursion was phenomenal-- we danced, we sang, we snorkelled, we ate some great food, and most of our guests said it was the best day of the whole trip! (with the exception of the wedding of course, lol)

I thought it would be helpful if all of the MLD threads were condensed here-- so here is a list of a few VERY helpful threads that I've found on BDW.

Thanks!
I love the green & pink & white together. And the pink hibiscus are perfect!
