Hello! January 2011 Wedding... undecided

Hi everyone... my name is Claire and I just got engaged a week ago, so we don't know too much yet. We know we want to do either Mexico or somewhere in the Caribbean (probably Dominican). We know we want to have the wedding in early January 2011 (the 5th or 6th), but we will likely be doing a week long all inclusive package.

 

I am looking for the best 'bang for your buck' so to speak. We are planning on doing the vows in a gazebo beachside, and we want a resort that offers a lot of activities included in the all inclusive package and that has a fun atmosphere. Great food and beaches are a must. I also want there to be an option for guests to pay less if they like by staying in a sister hotel that is less fancy. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated

Hello! Sounds like we have similar things in mind. I am looking at PDC area or DR for my Feb 2011 wedding! I have started an Excel spreadsheet of the resorts that interest me.
