I secretly hope that it's the reason why they are doing this, but on the other hand, I know my FI wouldn't make me stress like that. He would have found another excuse. I think they have a reason why the party need to be at my house - but I can't imagine and FI promised he didn't know nothing more.

Now I'm just cleaning like a freak and in between, taking some times here on BDW to relax a bit.

Three more days and I will have the answer. If my FI made up this BAD excuse, I will be censored.gif.

LIke all I can focus on is "OMG there is dirty dishes in the sink and my floors are dirty." I can't imagine how they wouldn't see that this would be stressful to the couple. Someone has to clean the house!

Anyways, I really hope it's a situation like Estella described. I hope they are trying to throw you off. I also can't imagine your FI making you stress over it though.

If this is really how the party is, then I'm sorry. That's just poor planning on your BMs part. Maybe you can just have your own party a little later to make up for it. My DH had a snooze fest party the first time so we had a co-ed party to make up for it. It was a BLAST and we planned it all.
I know it's bizarre... but more I think about it, more I don't know what to think about it (sorry if I'm confusing...).

And that's a good idea: if the party is really boring and not fun at all, I'll throw my own one. shots.gif

mary i was going to say maybe it's all part of the plan, to throw u off but i didnt want to ruin it that WAS the case, haha so just stay positive and hope for the best. you never know. if things dont turn out as you expected, dont sweat the small stuff. i know its easier said than done but dont fret b/c it's not worth it. whatever you guys do, you can make it fun, be in a happy mood b/c if you are sad, you'l look back and regret it. kwim?? keep us posted :o)

I think that is really disrespectful of your BM's to insist on it being at your house, after your FH told them no. I don't understand these BMs who put all this stress on the brides. It is supposed to be relaxing for the bride...not adding on stress by asking them to host their own party and go out and get favours and decorations!

this may be a terrible moto to live by but i love being blissfully unaware sometimes: low expectations, high satisfaction. It's always a good result because things are always better than expected, no let downs. It's great haha :)

Hope you have a fabulous time and things go...better than expected!! Post pics wink.gif

I've been cleaning like a real FREAK today and FI helped me a lot. If he tried to throw me off, at least he worked hard too!

Tomorrow's the day, I'll keep you posted. I'm trying to see the positive, and I'm keeping my expectations low.

Thanks!
