Hello,

 

My name is Katie, and I would like to get married in Mexico, sometime in April 2010. I have just started planning! I already feel like I'm behind. I read the "Destination Weddings for Dummies" and did not feel that it was very helpful. Hopefully you can help me out :).

Hi katie, I joined the site about a month ago and I am in the sameboat as you. I am also getting married in Mexico in 2010. This is the best site ever and it will help you with everything. There is a dress section, invitation section you name it it is on here. Try and get your 150 posts so that you can view attachments, a really big help. Dont feel behind you will get everything done. wink.gif Happy planning and I hope to see you around on the forum. Cheers

Congrats Katie and welcome3.gif to the forum! Trust me, a few hours of reading through this site and you'll have more knowledge than that book could ever give you!! Just remember that everyone's interpretation of the PERFECT wedding is different so you aren't necessarily behind. You'll find that you will choose the things that are important to you and focus on that. Otherwise, yes, it gets overwhelming thinking that you HAVE to do everything that is mentioned on this site! Welcome! The beauty of a destination wedding is you go do as much or as little as you want for planning. Good luck! Once you are there, it will all be wonderful so don't stress too much. The most annoying thing is your guests think you are the travel agent even if you have one :)
