Rehearsal Dinner Off site?

I'm getting married at Rose Hall in Montego Bay and in order to reserve a location for a rehearsal dinner, they want to charge a rental fee plus the cost of the meals. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend if we should go off site and if so, any recommendations as to where? Any pros and cons?

Great question, I'm looking for the same information. We talked about this last night and I think it would be fun to get off the resort.

I found the Houseboat Grill and it looks great, does anyone have recomendations or thoughts?

I am getting married at the Hilton Rose Hall later this month... in lieu of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we are hosting a sunset cruise aboard a private catamaran for all guests from 5-7pm the night before our wedding. Boat holds up to 60 guests and per person price includes open bar, roundtrip shuttle service from the resort to dock and snorkeling gear if you want it. The cruise coordinator (Denise) has been very helpful and friendly... she even offered to provide appetizers for a small extra fee, as we wanted to offer some food to our guests (we will have dinner at one of the resort's restaurants when we get back)

 

We figured this was the best options since all of our guests are on the all-inclusive plan. Everyone is really looking forward to it!
