Chickadee024's TTD Photos @ Blue Cave Castle - Negril, Jamaica

Recommended Posts

Since I'm still working on my wedding review and just got the pro pics in (still need to sift through those), I thought I'd go ahead and post some of our TTD photos. The reason I have one set and not the other is because our TTD photographer was not the same photographer that shot our wedding.

A few months ago, Ben's best friend, Josh, came to Indy from Chicago to spend the weekend with us. He is a professional photographer and weddings are included in his portfolio, so he naturally wanted to be our wedding photographer, but Ben and I had other plans for him. These boys have been best friends FOREVER - there was no way Josh couldn't be in our wedding...and we wanted him to be partying with us, not working. So when he came to stay the weekend, we talked about doing a TTD session a few days after the wedding. He was staying a few extra days and was planning to bring all his equipment anyways, so we decided to do a TTD at the Blue Cave Castle, our first honeymoon spot. BTW – the Blue Cave Castle was awesome! We had the penthouse suite with 3 floors of balconies for only $165 a night and they had a cave that looked perfect for a TTD shoot.

I was so excited to have a way to work Josh's mad skills into our wedding - he is super talented and very passionate about his work. The extra benefit of being best friends with the TTD photographer is that there were no constraints on the shoot - we didn't have to squeeze everything into a few hours and we were all already comfortable with each other. Plus, Josh did a really good job of posing us and doing the photographer thing, "beautiful...that's gorgeous...just like that..." that I felt like a model. In fact, in a way I wish he would have been able to direct us for our actual wedding pictures because I looked kinda broken and awkward in the wedding photos and Josh was really good about telling me how to hold my head and I held myself much better in the TTD photos (if that makes any sense).

If the pics don't show up, some are also posted on his blog http://www.josuhaalbanese.com where there are also some pictures of the wedding that were taken by our friend Brittany while Josh was doing his groomsman duties (you can also google Joshua Albanese Photography). And you can also find his contact information and general wedding photography info from this site too, if youâ€re interested in bringing him to shoot your wedding. Okay, enough chatter - here are the pics.
