Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

For those of you who are having a hard time hearing back from the WC at the Grand Sirenis which email address are you using.  It has never been more than a day for me to get a response.

Kelly - If you do switch to the Grand Sunset Princess you won't be disappointed, I was there in April and loved it!

So excited. Finally heard back from the resort and I am booked to be married on May 9th. Looking over the packages and now just have to choose between resort packages and Air Transat pacakages. Any brides used the Transat packages. They dont cover legal fees but allow 24 guest at reception dinner with no charge and resort charges aften ten. Love to hear any input;)

Fellow Brides,

I read back through all the threads again and saw some comments that maybe the transat package wasnt as good because the wedding decorations and cake, flower choices arent as nice and that alot of extra charges pop up. For anyone whom used a transat package where you happy with it. I am hoping to rent the palapa so I am trying to cut costs by choosing a less expensive package but dont want to left disappionted if I dont go with hotel package. The Bliss package is $800 and cover s reception a la cart for 24 people compared to the hotels 10 but we will have to pay for judge. Would love any input;)

Hi Lindsay,

Just popping in to say that we did the Transat package (Euphoria) back in March and it was great. We didn't have any surprise costs once we go there (we were prepared for the judge's fees, bloodtests, extra guest charges and DJ fees) and were quite pleased with the flowers, ceremony decor and food! The cake was a bit smaller than we thought, but we didn't even get close to eating the entire thing.

I wrote a pretty extensive review when we returned (maybe in April), if you read back a couple of pages. Also happy to send you the Facebook link to my wedding photos so you can take a peek for yourself -- just send me a PM and I'll flip it your way. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Re: documentation, we only needed our passports and normal birth certificates. No translations were necessary. I think it only gets more complicated if you've been married before, but I don't know the details for that situation. The blood tests were 180$ USD, and you have to pay at the medical clinic instead of rolling it into the total charge to the room.

Hi CanadBride 2011 and Lesley F! I just wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to write your detailed reviews of the weddings! It seems like the weddings are only getting better and better at Grand Sirenis!! I really appreciated your reviews!

In other news... My finacé and I are legally hitched! We went home 2 weeks ago and had an intimate civil ceremony with only our immediate families. I wore a red, Chinese style dress and the ceremony was held in a park with asian gardens. Short and sweet, the ceremony lasted less than 10 minutes.

Now... Countdown to Mexico for our symbolic ceremomy and rockin' reception!!!!

Oops, looks like I was wrong about the birth certificates - we brought ours just in case, but I guess we didn't need them. Here's the info copied from the wedding coordinator's Word document about it:

WEDDINGS ANS DOCUMENTATION

We have two kinds of weddings, the first one is a legal wedding, this is celebrated for a Judge of
the peace and we required the follow information:

•

Valid Passport .

•

Tourist visa must be filled according to the official document you will present.

•

Blood test should be in done in medical center of the Grand Sirenis. ( $ 180 usd per
couple )

•

If the Bride is divorced in Canada and her passport has her ex husband last name, she
needs to bring a separate and Original Birth Certificate
certified by the Mexican Consulate and translated into Spanish as well as the certification
and her Tourist Visa Card MUST be filled according to the Birth Certificate
• If the Bride is divorced in United States or United Kingdom and her passport has her ex
husband last name, she needs to bring a separate and Original Birth Certificate certified
through an APOSTILLE SEAL by the Secretary of State and translated into Spanish
as well as the Apostille and her Tourist Visa Card MUST be filled according to the Birth
Certificate.

The second wedding is just a Symbolic ceremony or a renewal vows , celebrated for a minister
of a person from our staff and we donâ€t required any information for be married by this way.
