Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Brides??

Recommended Posts

I have an urgent request for those brides who have been successfully communicating photos to Aracely and her team at the GS...HOW?!?  I have tried sending powerpoints, word documents with photos, e-mails with photos directly inserted, all in vain.  It's wasting my time and holding them up on the other end.  I actually asked them if they have access to Facebook as I don't know how else to share this many photos related to hair and makeup, cake, decor and flowers, etc.  HELP!!!  Soooo frustrated...she asked about a link, but all of these photos were pulled off of google images.

Honestly, I would just bring the photos to Mexico when you go. Aside from the legal paperwork, I found that all the wedding planning was done when we got there, and, sadly, that all my pre-emails to the coordinators in the months leading up to the wedding were in vain.

When we finally sat down with the coordinator, we went over everything: flowers, cake, decor, etc. Even though I had sent her all sorts of information in the months leading up to the wedding -- what colour of flowers I wanted, what flavour of cake -- it was painfully obvious that they hadn't really paid much attention to my requests. Yes, it's frustrating, but I PROMISE you that they'll work it out once you get there. They're a small shop and they're really focusing on the weddings that are immediately in front of them...Like the ones happening today or tomorrow. I was so worried that they wouldn't be able to fulfill my flower/cake/decor/makeup requests, but they do a damned good job of working last minute. It's Mexico time, right? Haha.

As for hair and makeup, I couldn't even meet the woman until my wedding day. I showed her my inspiration pictures and she did a great job.

Again, I know this isn't exactly what you want to hear, but you're better off putting your efforts towards other wedding-related things (I know there are a lof of 'em!) and saving a whole lot of stress. It sucks, but you're wedding will be great!!

If you're still set on sending photos, I know they have a fax machine in the office...

Melaina,

Thank you for your post, you even helped me ;)!!!. You are right the stress is so high that it is better to calm down and focus in another things. At the end a wedding is for you to enjoy a special day with your loved ones ;).

Does anybody has any suggestions on photos and videos , the prices are so ELEVATED ! that we can't believe it!

We used Gonzalo Nunez http://www.gonzalonunez.com/blog/  his prices were more than reasonable for photos and the previews he has sent us are wonderful.  We are still waiting on all the pictures as he takes 30-60 days to have them ready.  As for video we a family member kindly took it for us so it is nothing over the top special, but it is the ceremony as it was and it is wonderful to watch.

Like Melaina says, it will all work out not to worry, the ladies there deal with weddings all day every day and they are good at what they do.

It sure did...thanks so much.  I ended up sending her an e-mail just detailing the important things that needed to get done before we'd have a chance to sit down with her...like the birthday cake for two of our guests the day we arrive, booking the rehearsal supper and the spa appointments.

Hi we are planning to get married at Gran Sirenis. We will be a big group of 55-60 pers

First congratulation for your wedding!!! You looked fabulous!!!!

I'm in negociation and maybe you could help my with some informations.....My big concern is the wedding package!!

I think you choose the Air transat wedding package too....how hotel was with that considering that those are a lot less expensive than hotel pack??? Do they try to charge you on everything about decoration and flowers or do they tell you that things are not included all the time?

We are planning for the Bliss because extra thing in the Euphoria like room for groom and spa for me are not really important for us....

How long they let you have the restaurant for the reception?

Is hotel charge your for having your photograh even if you bought a wedding pack including photo?

If you have any interesting informations or pics for me I will be very happy!

Thanks!
