New Direct Flights from JFK to St. Lucia

I just got off the phone with JetBlue, and they sent me the following information about their planned direct routes from JFK.

New York (JFK) to Saint Lucia (UVF) Saint Lucia (UVF) to New York (JFK)

Depart - Arrive Depart - Arrive

7:59 a.m. - 1:44 p.m. 2:40 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

-- Service begins October 26, 2009 ( --

-- Flights operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays --

Thanks for the info! I knew they had announced they would start flying there in October, but I didn't know the details.

 

I give myself a tiny bit of credit for this. I e-mailed Jet Blue a while ago suggesting they fly to St. Lucia. I told them that American has really cornered the market on a lot of the little Caribbean islands. OK, I probably had nothing to do with their decision, but it makes me feel good. =)

That's great news! I've been to St. Lucia a couple of times on cruises and always want to plan a vacation there - but the whole connecting makes the flight like 6-8 hours...which usually makes me pick a different destination! Thanks again for sharing this info!

Aw, thanks! I bet with American putting in direct flights from JFK last November, they wanted to set up a little competition! Works for us!
