Envelope Question

Hello Ladies,

 

I have deep purple envelopes for my invites and would like to print address on clear shipping labels. Will the post office accept this? The addresses will be in black print.

You can still see the text pretty well, yes? I don't think you'd have a problem. My suggestion would be to make one, bring it to the PO, and ask before you do all of your STDs.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. Make one up and make sure before you continue with all the others! Good luck and let us know!

i agree with sperger. My initial thought is that it won't show because of the dark background

I would be cautious here too. I'm sure it would take some ink, but you could possibly use white labels but print a tinted background so it isn't too harsh (white on deep purple). Maybe a lighter purple or a secondary color you are using? I'm not for sure if this would work, but I can't think of why it wouldn't. My invitations are in a dark brown envelope and they came with ivory labels with a brown border. Anyway, just thinking of an alternative if it is too dar. But hopefully it will be fine just the way you have planned!

Our engagement party envelopes were chocolate brown and we wrote on them with a gold paint pen and I have to admit they were pretty hard to read, but the post office said they were fine and all my guests received them just fine! I think it will be okay for you!

I would definitely check with the post office, or use labels with a matching purple border.

Thanks, the shipping labels I have are translucent and I used a bolded font so the post office shouldn't have a problem with them...
