To use wedding colors or not...

We're getting married in Feb and our colors are pink and green. My FILs are throwing us a reception in Oct or Nov. What are you opinions on using the wedding colors for the reception? Part of me likes it so its consistent but the other part thinks it'll look silly to have a pink/green reception in Canada in Oct/Nov. Another small part of me loves the idea of doing fall colors so I can get the best of both worlds and "milk" the situation for all its worth....

Hmmm... I am a bit torn on this one.

While I love the idea of 'getting the best of both worlds'; I also love the romance of using the same colors for your AHR as your wedding as it incorporates the same feel as your DW. Is there any way you could use the pink and green as accents; and incorporate some darker greens and/or browns as your primary colors to give it a more fall type look for Canada in the fall?

I agree with Megan. I'm viewing my AHR as a distinct event not meant to recreate the wedding, though I am still incorporated some of my colors and beachy themes into it. Go for the best of both worlds, or pick one of the two colors to use sparingly if you feel the need to have some sort of tie-in if you feel using both wouldn't loook right.

I say do the same for both! It will be consistent, and you can then work those colours into your thank you's and other things too. I don't think that bright colours are bad in the fall, WHEN you are celebrating a DW... and in the dreary Canadian Fall/Winter - end of Oct/early Nov... everything is mud... it would be refreshing to have bright colours!
