Hi, congrats, welcome, and all that good stuff! I agree that you may want to consider weather in Jamaica and Mexico as a big part of your decision. Weather in Jamaica in November | jamaica-guide.info is a website for Jamaican weather in November. For Mexico, you'd be better off looking it up by the region. Mexico is a lot bigger than Jamaica, so its weather varies more by region.

I am getting married in Negril, Jamaica in May. Here are some of the factors that helped me make my decision:

1) the "no problem, mon!" attitude of the island - my fiance and I are very laid back, and like this theme for our wedding events.

2) my fiance is black, and the majority of our guests are white (70%). So I wanted a larger black presence in our wedding like the minister, the hotel wedding coordinator, etc. I also thought his parents may appreciate it, though I never asked.

3) Negril is on the west side of the island, so the sun sets on the water, which i think will be very pretty in the pictures.

4) We wanted to be on an island.

5) Bob Marley!!

6) We fell in love with our resort when we went for a visit last December, so it sealed the deal.

7) I love the accent of Jamaicans. it's so cool! Yah, mon!

cool.gif We live in Texas, so we don't really think of Mexico as a destination... we're practically there already :-)

Maybe one of these reasons will help you make your decision for or against Jamaica. Either way, wherever you end up going, I'm sure it will be magical!

I remember trying to decide on that one myself! Mexico is beautiful as well as Jamaica.. Mexico has a lot more preperation that you have to go through in order to get married (blood work!) and Jamaica doesnt. We chose Jamaica.. but it came down to alot more then just blood work! lol. We picked Jamaica because of the resort, it fit our guests a little better then our fav place to travel in Mexico.. which is the same resort just a lot bigger in Mexico then it is in Jamaica. We have a lot of travelers that have never been out of the country and we didnt want to lose them in a big resort! lol.... sorry if this doesnt help you any lol.
