A few tips -

- Eat at the Mexican and Japanese restaurant - they were fantastic!

- If you go to any of the nightly shows, I recommend getting there a little bit early to get a good seat. The Mr. Iberostar Show was the best, IMO.

-If you are planning on any excursions, I HIGHLY recommend The Mayan Encounter through Altournative Tours. It was unforgettable and worth every single penny.

We stayed at Tucan/Quetzal for a few nights, and then they upgraded us to the Paraiso Maya (no strings attached!) I have since heard that they offer upgrades frequently.

Have a great trip!! Let me know how it goes!

Just Martha,

I am also looking into having our wedding at the Lindo. Trip advisor said awesome things about it and the grounds look beautiful. How many people are you looking at having attend your wedding? Our list keeps growing, but we're looking at 60-70 people. Have you looked into photographers?

This process of a DW has been very time consuming!

I think we will probably only have 35-40 guests....most of our invites probably will not be able to attend.

We are actually bringing out own photographer from Austin...she is amazing and is giving me a heck of a deal.

I think we are going to get married at the pyramid because I dont like the idea of getting married ON the beach. You?

Which pyramid are you speaking of? I only know of the one above the wave pool. I've got mixed feelings about the beach. I love the idea of having the ocean in the background but haven't researched much about what other options are available at the LIndo.

How did you find your photographer?

Yes, above the wave pool. The reviews are good and say that you cant hear the noise below you because of the way it is built.

Our wedding photographer is a friend of a friend (my best friend is a WC in Austin and this is who she refers brides to. She also shot her wedding).
