How early can I send my STD's

i'm sending mine a year out because i know my friends are lazy to organise things and i want to give them as much notice as possible to avoid the problems later with them saying 'i don't have the money and couldn't get time off work' although i'm sure this will happen anyway

I'm sending mine out about 7 months before the wedding, but the "destination" is a 1.5 hours drive. Not too significant!!

 

I also ordered mine on Vistaprint. I hope they turn out well, because the preview was perfect!!

I sent mine out 9 months in advance.  I think the earlier the better. The more time they have to save and prepare.

I'm sending mine in January.  We're getting married in November.

Sending ours a year out, but its going to be tough to wait!

I sent mine out about 10 months in advance... with a DW I really think the earlier the better.

Wow, I'm really surprised at how early some of you sent yours!  My wedding is March 2013, so I would feel ridiculous sending them now.  Maybe around October of this year, so 2013 doesn't sound like it's two years away, when it's really not.  That would give everyone about a year and a half to save and plan.

We sent out our STDs about a year in advance.

Yeah, I am looking at about a year in advance for the STD too, BUT we are also doing a website in the next couple months and passing word around about it. (We are getting married summer 2013). I wish I could do it all earlier!

We did ours a year in advance to make sure everyone had enough time to save, plan etc.  Our Invites will go out in October for the 6 month reminder.
