Tonir
I only have a MOH and I am going to pay for the dress, since she is spending a ton of money to travel to St. Thomas to be there for me.
Lady_Di
I saw a really cute dress in watermelon dress at JcPenneys this past weekend so I grabbed the opportunity and got them! I paid $25 each for 7 dresses. I am SO stoked that I got the dresses half off!! It was a semi-formal dress. I wouldn't lose money if one or two of my bridesmaid back up at the last minute. So ladies, check out the dept stores because they're having a good sale since it'll be fall.
sjmacphe
Hey ladies, I was originally planning to ask my BMs to foot the $200 bill for the dresses (I have 3 of them), but now I am thinking of paying for most of them and just asking for maybe $50 to help offset some of the cost (and any alterations if they need them)...do you think that's weird? I have also bought their shoes and jewellery...I probably wouldn't get them any other gifts (maybe something little).

Only thing is if you are not going to get a gift, then I would just foot the entire bill for the dresses even if it means finding a cheaper one to fit the budget...oh wait, I saw that you bought jewelry and shoes in which case that can settle for the gift. blumenthale
I am paying for the dresses. I told them a color to work with and emailed a few dresses I liked, with the guidelines: no heavy satins, think light and airy chiffon/silks. Then told them I will give them up to $100 bucks for a dress, if they score a deal they keep the difference. Try off the rack, these bridesmaids companies are such a scam.
