Sunset Jamaica Grande Brides??

Hey- I finally chose my location the ROR, and they do not have any available dates in Jan 2010. So now I am trying to find another location. Yay me. Anyone gettin married at the SJG? Any info that you could share with me? Any other locations to suggest?

I also have package info for Sunset Montego Bay, but there seem to be a lot of holes...can't seem to determine what the prices include. If I can post it, I will and maybe someone can make heads or tails about it.

I would definitely recommend Sunset Jamaica Grande. I got married at Sunset Jamaica Grande last September, they did a wonderful job from start to finish. The wedding coordinators were in constant contact with me ensuring that all my requests were met. Our wedding was in the afternoon close to Sunset, we had chosen to do it by the gazebo, the view was breath taking. We had fantastic time, everything was great, location, food, music, just about everyting to make that special day memorable. Our group consisted of approximately 35 guests who all share the same sentiments that the resort is fabulous, they did a marvelous job both with the wedding and making our stay enjoyable. We all loved that property, and Jamaica.

 

 

Have have heard that Sunset Beach in Montego Bay also does a awesome destination weddings. Have booked to go there in September for my first Anniversary.

Don't give up on your ROR Jan 2010 date just yet. Keep checking back. When I originally wanted a Friday or Saturday in September (so people could just come for the weekend if they wanted to) they were all booked until a few weeks ago. When people don't pay in the 30 day time limit the dates become available again.

 

Sunset Jamaica Grande has good food though!

I have stayed at SJG twice and it is a great place for a wedding. The food was soooo good and the staff was really nice. I would have chosen this resort but I really wanted to be in Negril this time around. I still chose a Sunset property. They really take good care of you. I have heard of brides having problems contacting their wedding coordinators at various other resorts, I have never had a problem reaching my wc at Sunset at the Palms. Good luck and happy planning.

Hi! I am interested in doing my wedding at the Sunset Jamaica Grande. I recently visited the location on a cruise. I have not been able to speak to anyone from resort yet. Mikki i was wondering if you could post or send me pictures of your wedding? it would be great to get an idea. Did you do your hair and make up at their spa? Did u use their photographer? I have so many questions! and i feel like i need to make a desicion soon. If anyone has any information please let me know!
