Good morning ladies!

Well since my aunt has now gone back to New Caledonia until Christmas, I have the dress!! It is now complete, and if I wanted to, I could wear it tomorrow. Anyway, it's stored at my parent's place and I was there yesterday and wanted to try it on because she had added a flower to the dress. After about oh I would say 45 mins of trying to lace the dress up with me in it, my mom missed a loop, so we had to undo it, then I got out of the dress, we laced it back up, got back into the dress and whew, that part was done! lol It was my mom's first time lacing it up, I feel we may have to practice so I don't have to start getting ready at 3am on the wedding day! lol The whole experience yesterday took about 1 1/2 hours as we were trying to figure out why I wasn't completely happy with the dress.

SO, here are some pics. This one is of the dress complete now.

This is the flower that she made for the dress, sorta based on an orchid. She used eyeshadow for the pink in the middle. I think it looks great! I think the plan may be to make a smaller version of it for my hair.

So here's the dress on me, as it is now. Now remember, I am still not happy with the dropping and extra material of the dress which my aunt was supposed to do before she left, but said she would only do it in December now. Excuse the horrible hair as it was early in the morning and it was still 1/2 wet! lol

Alright, so after a while of playing around and looking at the dress, I decided that my boobs still looked too saggy, something just wasn't right still in that area. So here, we turned up that satin ribbon around my waist as best as we could as the flower was tacked down, and BINGO, that's the problem!! Now, I feel like I have some kind of definition to my body! In this pic, the ribbon is turned up and I am also holding back the extra material.

Just to show you ladies what I mean, check out how much material I am holding in the back. Like c'mon, that's WAY too much I think. And she wanted to leave the dress the way it is, UCK!! I will show her these pictures in a big so that she can see what the problem is.

I hope that you've all enjoyed my little stories and pictures. I'm not sure what the end results will be in december, but at least the dress is done! lol

Wow...it was great to see this dress made from start to finish! You look awesome in your "made from the heart" wedding dress! I think you're right about the satin ribbon...it looks better on you with the ribbon turned up a bit. I can't wait to see it in December and in your wedding pictures! Congrats girl...you look GORGEOUS.
