Did you bring your IPod to ROR?

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody.

We are thinking of having the dinner at Mamma Bay and then either hire the disco for 2 hours or have a small reception after the dinner by the pool or the beach.

instead of hiring the DJ equipment we were gonna bring our IPod and BOSE docking station.

However, our docking station has to be on a cord. It's not battery operated. Will there be a plug anywhere we could use?

Hope it's not stupid a question, and someone can help me with an answer.

We also used the Ipod and Bose station for our poolside reception. It was perfect. There is a plug right by the bar. At Mammee Bay it might be a little harder to find a plug. We were supposed to have our rehearsal dinner there, but were moved to the lower level of the Plantation, and there was no plug for us to use. There was one upstairs though. They could not find an extension cord for us...

Thanks for both your answers.

I'm just not sure what we want to do now. The poolside reception looks absolutely beautiful, but as we are flying from the UK and staying for 2 weeks, we have to think about cost as well. If we are paying $55 for over 30 people it's gonna be quite expensive.

We might just eat at mamma Bay and then request the poolside for the dancing for 2 hours.

I guess until you get there and speak to Chandlyn, you just don't know 100%

I believe you'll save money if you goto the disco for 2hrs. Any reception you do you'll want chairs or table and their is cost (15pp)to that. The disco will only be 250 for 2hrs and you have everything right there. Also you could do a bonfire($150) later if you want and use your ipod then as well.

Thank you for the advise.
This was another option, but I just thought we had to hire the disco equipment to use with out iPod as well as pay £10 for open bar? Is that not the case?
