We are having a private bus pick us and our family/friends at the airport so we can hand out gift bags on it and get a direct ride to the hotel. We're doing this through Lees tours. We're also doing a day trip with everyone and they have been so accomodating!! I asked Norma (the super nice woman from Lees tours) about what I could do for flowers and she gave me a ridiculously cheap price for flowers for me, my bridesmaids, the groom, and my flower girls AND they'll deliver it to the hotel first thing in the morning. If you need ANY services I am strongly endorsing these guys - they're fantastic and fast to respond by email. I cant believe I'm a week away!
My wedding is on the same day! Mine is at 4 at the beach gazebo - where & what time is yours?

Thanks - good to know Cherie. Did you have to pay extra?

The guests choose their entree once they arrive at dinner - fyi.

I agree that we all need to stick together. We are making the final decisions to go with Riu for ceremony and travel to Couples San Souci the last 4 days of our honeymoon. Date is 9/27. I am still somewhat of a skeptic about the ceremony and the appearance of flowers, etc....

I"m using Lee's as well based on MoWife's recommendation. Here's their website. Just send them an email & they will respond-promptly! They have been excellent to deal with.

They are picking up me & FI on 1 day & then all of my guests on 2 other days. They were fine with accomodating us on 3 different days. We'll all be returning home on the same day.

I do have some random ?'s hopefully someone can answer tho!

Your bridesmaids, are they wearing shoes? I am doing the beach gazebo, and I have them wearing tea lengths dresses, so I was thinking wedges, but is it wierd for them to wear shoes in the sand?

Where is a good place to have the dinner after the ceremony, I am only having around 20ish guests, I've heard Maumee bay alot? Whats that like? Is it one long table or little tables?

I want to give my guests personalized bottles of sunscreen in their rooms before they get there, How would I get those to the resort? And how would they get into the rooms of my guests?

The disco. Good idea or no?

Okay, that might be it for now :) Thanks so much and i hope to hear form someone soon!!!

Congrats! My BMs are wearing barefoot sandals with tea length dresses. I thought shoes might be hard to walk in if the sand is really soft.
Mammee Bay is the free reception. You can also have a beach reception or a private reception at Plantation but you will pay to rent the restaurant.
We have gotten mixed responses from the resort re: shipping things to the resort ahead of time, so I think the majority of people just pack all this stuff in thier suitcases. Lots of girls are having welcome receptions when they arrive at the resort at one of the bars and giving out gifts then.
Can't help with the disco, sorry!

If you click search, then advanced search and type in the names of any of the restaurants or really any topic you will find lots of info. There are a ton of RIU Ocho Rios brides on here with lots of info. Be sure to read all the threads that say wedding review! There are 2 or 3 new reviews posted under Jamaica right now.

Happy planning!
