I just got an e-mail from Chandalyn about tables for the Plantation Resturant. They put together tables that are 32" square. So for a table of 6, you have 3 square tables put together and 4 for a table of 8.

Ok, so it sounds like we can have either tables of 6 or 8 at the Plantation. Good to know.

 

What about the Mamme Bay? Do we have the same option?

Chandlyn had told me that for Mammee Bay they do one LONG table.

Ok girls, so my questions is:

I'm having a super small wedding and all my guests are staying at the RIU..pretty much my parents, his parents, his aunt and uncle and maybe a few other couples so maximum 20 people more like ten probably. So I'm not going to have a private reception b/c not only is that money to rent it out it's kinda pointless. So I'm gonna just do the semi-private in one of the restaurants and have dinner together. What my ?? is is what restaurant would be best and or what restaurant do I have choices of? Any help is appreciated. I know there are threads on the restaurants but I can't find them and I just wanted all my info in one place easy to find? Sorry.

I think the only restaurant that you can have the dinner at after the wedding if it's less than 50 people is Mammee Bay. Am I right, girls

there's a second option, Sir Richard's I think? But everyone who's been there seems to prefer Mammee Bay.

Sir Richards (Indoor Restaurant) is much more formal than Mammee Bay. If you are having a formal ceremony/reception, definetly go for Sir Richards, but if you are not having a private party, you will have to wait in line early in the morning to reserve a couple of tables for your guests. The setup in there is very nice & elegant. If I were having a smaller group, I would probably reserve Sir Richards.

I was told by Chandlyn that Sir Richards/Johns can only be booked for less then 6 people. That any party over 6 to 50 at mammee bay or rent the plantation out.
