lol!!!

I feel you.. the whole 10mins I was in the bed I kept thinking of breast cancer and how my ladies wear so bare in there lol.

How harmful is it if you just go once or twice? I know I am a horrible influance sad.gif sorry. I just couldn't imagine going down south without any sort of base. I did once and I got so badly burned I wasn't able to fully enjoy my vacation, as I couldn't sleep (ever) for 3 weeks.

ohhh enjoy yourself, gooo canada goo!!! :)

I will be finishing up all my wedding stuff, as I gave myself a limit.. it all had to be done a month before we leave, so I officially have 11 days (including today) to finish up. I will definitely make it a quiet weekend, as next Saturday is my bachelorette party.

Lol- I know, I keep thinking that just a few times isn't going to make a big difference in the grand scheme of things... you're twisting my rubber arm!

I've gave myself a deadline for wedding stuff, too. I think that's a good way to do it- that way you're not stressed trying to finish up all of the little details at the last minute. I figure I want to relax and focus on the trip for a few weeks before we leave.

LOL!!! sorry I really don't think tannin is any good by any means, but it's much better then being blue and read on your second day of your trip.
Just be careful with it, don't go to long, especially with skin! Let us know how it goes (Definitely really relaxing)

exactly, so if there is any last min things to do, I wont be crying with stress cause I have everything else to do too.
Besides with my crohn's, stress is what makes me sick and go to the hospital for days, That is that last thing I need.

Back on the topic of health insurance for parents/grandparents over 65 with medical issues. My dad had a lung removed last year, so Itravel wouldn't cover him. If I am not mistake it was Meghan who gave the suggestion to call RBC insurance, well I did and my dad got covered for $80 and my mom who only has high blood pressure is covered for $39. A total of $140. Which is so amazing.. my mom called a place (can't remember who now) and they quoted them at $600 for both of them!!!!
I on the other hand, would not be able to get RBC insurance as I have crohn's, arthritis, and intestine bleeding. Luckily for the FI private insurance smile159.gif
I wouldn't be living if it wasn't for his insurance.

LOL... I kept saying that I'd have things done ahead of time but I'm totally not there! I wanted to be able to put my OOT bags together when FI goes away next weekend, but I don't even have my bags yet (long story but last minute changes were necessary) so that idea is kind of out. I do want to make sure that i have the rest ready to go otherwise, down to the last detail so that it's just all ready to plop in the bag once I get them. Ideally I'd LOVE to have them all packed away and get my office at home cleaned up but we'll see.

And tracy I just saw your post and I'm glad that your parents were able to get travel coverage!

NO STRESSING OUT FOR YOU!!

I'm with you Meghan, I want to do spring cleaning before we leave!! I have dust bunnies on my wall from the heater lol.

There is a few people who still haven't booked, so I am figuring I should just wait until they do book, so I am not wasting the money incase they decide not to come.

So their bags will be left to last min. (even tho I have the bags, and most of everything else, mainly missing mugs, I can't find anymore mugs from the dollar store, I now have to get them fro Canadian tie, at $5 and I don't want to buy 10 and they don't end up coming)

The dress is BCBG Max Azria - From the outlet store so I got a really good price.

As for tanning...basically no sun is good sun and all sun whether indoor or outdoor causes skin damage and cancer. Sad but true. both of my parents have had skin cancer and FI works with the dermatologist.

That being said, I love being tan and will still visit the beds a few times before we go, and will spend time in the sun on our trip...I wear sunblock when I'm outside, and you HAVE to on these islands or you will burn burn burn! I will not be a pale ghost in my pictures or be sunburnt and neither will FI. When I went to Dominican Republic a few years ago the day I got there there were these 2 poor girls who obviously didn't put any or at least enough sun block on and they were so burnt, I can't imagine that they enjoyed the next few days of their trip. I wore SPF 30 the whole time I was there (7 days) and got very dark. That is my lecture for the day.shameonyou.gif

Hahahaha! I totally don't mean spring cleaning at all, though I wasn't terribly clear about that before. My home office has become the holding grounds for all things wedding related and we don't really have shelves or anything in there so it's kind of just piled up on top of each other. I'm almost at the point where I might even pull out enough grocery bags so that I can start separating all my stuff as if they were the OOT bags! If I can get all the small stuff organized the way I want it, then adding in our mugs and switching them to the real OOT bags will be quick and easy. Plus I've got a suitcase already designated my OOT bags so I'm hoping to be able to tuck them away nice and neat in the meantime. It will mean completing some other small DIY projects this weekend though which might be a challenge in itself!!!

I should also admit that you're all making me feel very guilty for not wearing sunscreen on a regular basis. The thing is, I honestly can't remember the last time I was burnt including two six-week work trips in Houston Texas and my last trip to Mexico!!! I think the strongest sunblock I even own is a 15 SPF and lower. But unlike you Michele, where you still tan lots even wearing SPF 30, I would be that pale white ghost in Mexico if that's what I was wearing!! I couldn't handle that sorry!
